Select the position in a way from where your cams cover the maximum area of the car.

Pro Tip

The back mirror is the most appropriate point for the installation of your CCTV camera in a vehicle. Because minimum cables are required to install a camera at this point, from here the camera covers the whole interior of the car and you can easily monitor it.

After selecting a suitable place for installing CCTV security Camera in Car, move towards the placement of a security camera at that point by using an installation template provided with a cam box.

Once the security camera is located in the desired position, follow the guide and tighten all the screws there.

Then pull all the screws in the frame. When you are sure this camera will not fall, join the power wire with car wiring or car battery.

Step 3: Set the DVR

The third step to install security camera in car is to set up the DVR.

So, now the camera is entirely placed in the suitable position, then set the DVR.

The most suitable place for the DVR installation is the place along with the hard disk.

This hard disk is used to store the recorded videos in the car to use in case you want it.

It is necessary to ensure the security of your vehicle.

So, you must place the DVR at a secure place where no one can enter to harm your recordings.

Step 4: Cable Route

Now it is required to join the connection of the CCTV camera with DVR setup.

It is essential for the starting of the recording process.

For this purpose, cables and wires are needed.

It would help if you made a proper path for cable and wire connection.

I connect the video cable via the BNC port in the back of the video recorder device.

For a very secure connection, you must install the line in the BNC port.

Pro Tip

In case you have a big vehicle you can connect the outer DVR’s streaming HDMI port directly to the TV screen system, so your recording and videos are displayed on it.

Now, The last step to install security camera in car is to run the CCTV system placed in the car’s interior.

And turn on the recording, display, and DVR. Then, check that your camera is working correctly.

Moreover, check if the angle set for recording is suitable or not, always look for angles that cover wide spots of your car.

Also, check the camera features such as night vision, live view, motion sensor, zoom, and notification alerts are working normally or not.

Note

In case you need to view your security cameras remotely you must adjust the port forwarding settings in the DVR.

Most security cameras out there have small LEDs indicators that flash or change the color when it’s connected to another device.

In the case of Blink cameras when they have connected to the module the light change to a solid green color which means it’s connected successfully.
